You are my kind of person. Yes, I’m talking about you. The entrepreneur who looked at the job options around her and said, “You know what? No. I have a better plan.” And then you went ahead and turned that plan into a business and are living the dream. You’re so inspiring and I am HERE for it.
Yet I also have a sneaking suspicion that creating content for your business is not your particular strength. Or maybe it is, but your little business idea has sprouted and is flourishing so much that you simply do not have the time to give content strategy the time and attention it needs.
Have you found yourself thinking or saying any of these things recently?
“Ugh. I know I need to blog, but I have no idea what to say.”
“I wish I had a whole week to just sit down and work on my content strategy.”
“What’s evergreen content again? Yeah, pretty sure I need that.”
“My business has grown so much lately that I just don’t have the time to dedicate to producing regular content.”
You’re not alone. You have a thriving business (hallelujah!) and you are only one person or have a small team with specific duties not related to content. Something’s gotta give, right? So now you’re considering outsourcing your content marketing, and you have a new concern: How do you choose the right person who you can trust to take over this very important part of your business?
I get it. You don’t know me. Why should you choose me as a partner? Am I reliable? Competent? Easy to work with? (Yes, yes, and yes… but more on that later.)
Here’s a few things to know about me:
I believe business owners should be able to focus on what they love doing in their business without worrying about having to produce regular marketing content.
As a professional editor and writer with 20 years’ experience, I see my role as a seasoned guide who demystifies the content strategy and writing process for you. I take the ongoing task of consistently creating high-quality, clear, and focused content off your plate.
I worked as a magazine editor for almost a decade and know how to pitch an article that actually stands a chance of being published (and, of course, write it). I edited books for one of the Big 5 book publishers and know the ins and outs of creating a great book that people really want to read and getting it published. I’ve ghostwritten countless blogs—and a few books—for every topic under the sun. I know how to craft website content that captures people’s attention and makes them want to learn more about you and get them excited about working with you.
In short, there’s very little I haven’t written, so I am confident that whatever you need, I can produce it in short order. Also, this isn’t my first rodeo. I’ve been at this a long time. I’ve worked with all kinds of clients and I know what works and what doesn’t. The experience that comes with age has its perks.
On a personal note, I live in Southern California and am a single mom to my spectacular daughter. I love to read (my nightstand book stack is precariously high at the moment) and eat and drink wine and laugh with my friends and family. Coziness is a deeply important personal value, as are Hallmark movies (don’t @ me). When I learned about hygge, I knew I’d found my people—and apparently, they’re Danish. Who knew?
Enough about me. Back to you (and me).
Here’s how we’d work together:
1. We get on a call and I learn all about you, your business, your goals, and your ideal client/customer.
2. We discuss your current content strategy—or create one, if necessary—fill in any gaps, eliminate any redundancies, and fine-tune it to help you build your brand and meet your business goals with laser-like precision.
3. I create a custom monthly and quarterly content plans.
4. You review it and make any adjustments.
5. We (virtually) shake hands and work happily ever after.
Still not sure? I get it. You’re cautious. Your business is your baby, after all, and maybe you’re wondering…
“What if you can’t get my voice?”
Totally legitimate question. In response, I submit to you the following fact: I wrote in the voice of an ant to describe in exacting medical accuracy the human circulatory system (I only wish I was kidding). I promise, I got you. One thing my clients regularly tell me is, “You make me sound good!”
“Can I count on you?”
You may have been burned by a contractor in the past. In fact, if you’ve been in business long enough, I’m certain you have. So I give you my 100% guarantee that I am reliable and consistently meet or exceed all deadlines. As a single mom and an Enneagram 1, I can assure you that getting things done well is one of my superpowers.
“How much do I have to do on my end?”
That’s up to you. If you have a well-thought-out content plan that you simply need me to execute, then there is little left for you to do but hand over the reins. If you need some coaching to fully develop your content strategy, then you will simply provide the details I need to get my arms around what you do and what you want to achieve; I’ll also need access to any relevant files to help me complete my work. Once I familiarize myself with your business and systems, it usually runs like clockwork.
“Is it worth the expense?”
What is your time, effort, and frustration in trying to do it yourself costing you? My guess is, a lot more than the monthly expense of my services. If you’re like me, paying for the convenience of not having to worry about certain things is worth its weight in gold. Sure, you could do it yourself, but why would you want to? You have a life to live and a business to run and a highly qualified person ready to make your life a lot easier (me… I’m that person).
If this sounds like exactly what you need right now, then click right here right now and let’s see if we are MFEO: Made For Each Other (Sleepless in Seattle fans are loving me right now; I’ll accept the eye rolls from the rest of you).
Don’t lose valuable time and money trying to figure this out on your own. Or wrestle with the frustration of producing inconsistent content that doesn’t convert into increased profits. You’ve been there and done that. It’s time for something new. Something that really works.
When you work with me, you free up your time to focus on other areas of your business that you really love and, in return, receive a targeted, effective content marketing plan that better positions you as an expert in your field. You get consistent, killer content that runs on autopilot and provides real value to your customers and clients.
Imagine you, working with me, and feeling completely confident in your content strategy and its ability to increase brand awareness, authority, and—most importantly—SALES every. single. quarter. AND knowing you are consistently providing genuine value to your clients. It doesn’t get much better than that.
