You want to write a book but have no idea where to start. And, quite frankly, the whole idea feels completely overwhelming. You want someone to walk you through the process, step by step.

Solopreneur Service Packages

When you are the face and the function of your business, your plate is always full (to say the least). So producing high-quality, engaging content on a consistent basis can be a challenge on your best days—even if you’re a good writer (and even more difficult if that’s not your strength). There simply aren’t enough hours in the day.

Being a successful business owner also means knowing when to outsource the work that you don’t have to be 100% involved in, freeing you to focus on the work only you can do. Read what one of my solopreneur clients has to say about how I helped him in his business:

Meredith just got me and the messages I was trying to convey. She took the ball and ran with it, was creative and prompt! She helped me write several blogs, and when I created a video program, she was able to write it in simple terms so that everyone could understand. I felt such RELIEF! It was one less thing for me to worry about—you have no idea how comforting it is to know that Meredith is always there for me, and that the problem will be fixed. —Jeff Lazarus, MD

Imagine how you’d feel if you handed over your marketing content creation to a 20-year veteran writer and editor: relieved, free, confident that it’s being expertly handled? Yes, yes, and yes.

Small- to Medium-Sized Business Owner

You’ve worked really hard to grow your small or medium-sized business and achieve success. You have a small but mighty team who supports your goals and brings them to life. And because you’re so tight-knit, your business sometimes feels like an extension of your family: You’re all in this together.

And while you’ve managed to accomplish great things to this point, you have even bigger goals to reach, and your current staff simply doesn’t have the bandwidth (or, perhaps, skillset) to produce the marketing content you need to get you there. So you see the value in hiring a professional writer and editor, but don’t have the budget to bring on another employee.

Outsourcing an experienced contract writer and editor is the perfect solution. For a fraction of the cost of a part- or full-time employee, I provide top-quality marketing content for your business, expertly tailoring it to reflect your company’s voice, message, and mission.

See what one of my small-business clients has to say about her experience working with me:

Initially, we had great content but lacked the time to get it out there. We were getting more business (a great problem to have!), but didn't have the time to get our stories and photographs on our website and into the world. It was maxing out everyone on my team—every time we got one thing done, we still had our content needs hanging over our heads.

What I love about Meredith is her ability to quickly and concisely grasp what we are trying to communicate, and do so expertly and with amazing customer service!

It feels great to know she's got us. We feel listened to and taken care of and we can get to the business of doing our work while she tells our story. —Gina Sims Designs

What could your business accomplish if you entrusted your marketing content to a writer and editor with 20 years’ experience? Relieved, excited, confident that your business is now equipped and positioned to grow to the next level? Yes to all of the above.

Aspiring Authors

For years, you have said, “I’ve always wanted to write a book”. Maybe you’ve even typed out an outline or a chapter or two, only to read it back to yourself, roll your eyes, and walk away from it feeling completely frustrated. What you most want to know is HOW to get that idea that’s been tugging at your brain and heart for weeks, months, years and turn it into an honest-to-goodness book that people can actually read.

Most people see the process of writing a entire book at the least daunting, at the worst terrifying. It’s a big deal. It’s a lot of work. And what if their idea would make a better blog post or journal entry, but isn’t really suited for mass consumption? How would they even know the difference?

This is the kind of fearful thinking and general lack of know-how that tends to paralyze people and lead them to wistfully sigh, “Maybe one day I’ll write a book” … then do nothing.

But the truth is, if there is a story or experience or information you want to share in a book, then it IS a worthwhile and important endeavor. Not only that, it is also completely doable. When you know how.

Over the last 20 years, I have ghostwritten several books, written compelling book proposals that landed lucrative publishing contracts, and edited manuscripts for one of the Big Five publishing companies, and I can tell you, there is a specific process that anyone can follow that results in a completed book.

There are several ways I share this knowledge and expertise with aspiring authors. Select the option below that best serves your current needs.
